  To the gullible jw who beleive (worship) the GB

  in this weeks wt study p20 para 17 the gb directive in part says "all of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive,whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not".

  it behooves me,how anyone would obey such an organization,when you were told to preach and exhort people with a message(bible doctrine) for over a hundred years(and not question the message or the gb) only to find out the message was false.see wt july 15,2013 p8.-great tribulation did not begin in 1914.judgement of the sheep and goats did not begin in 1914.jesus arrival to appoint the faithful slave did not occur in 1919.wt 1984,1914 the generation that will not pass away.. in your clean christian conscience are you willing to obey such a vacillating organization.the proper thing to do is resign from this organization.

  go apolize to the people for misleading them with a false message(doctrine).go preach the true gospel of jesus christ..

  The above instruction by the Watchtower Society is itself unscriptural and a sign of apostacy at the highest level.

  The scriptures are very clear that Christians are NOT to blindly and unquestioningly obey religious leaders:

  1 John 4:1 "Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired expression, but test the inspired expressions to see whether they originate with God, because many false prophets have gone forth into the world."
  
  Galatians 1:8, 9 "But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to that which you received, let him be accursed."

  Revelation 2:2 "I know your deeds, and your labor and endurance, and that you cannot tolerate bad men, and that you put to the test those who say they are apostles, but they are not, and you found them to be liars."

  a young, progressive, kind elder wants to have a chat with me on sunday after the meeting.

  we've talked before and been quite open about the judgemental attitudes 'we' have as witnesses, and he was completely in agreement, stating that he's never understood the beard thing among other issues, and wants to see the society moving forward by change..

  i've no doubt he just wants to encourage me to up my hours or reach out again, but it's nerve wracking, as i know i'll say something i'll regret.

  No such thing really as a 'progressive' elder. 'Progressive' means to progress the interests of the organisation kingdom. The unity of the organisation/congregation is paramount, not truth. If that unity is threatened by some wise-ass apostate then make no mistake, you will be sacrificed and betrayed by your nice, young, 'progressive' elder friend.

  Proof the anointed aren't being resurrected yet.....

  the society teaches that since around 1919 the anointed who have died and do die, are resurrected as spirit creatures.

  the only one to be resurrected as a spirit that is documented in the bible is jesus.

  when jesus was resurrected, did he appear to his disciples yet his body was still buried?

  Here they are in millennial reign training school since 1919 with Jesus, gleefully anticipating killing billions of people as Jesus shows them how to do it. They are currently serving their apprenticeships in readiness for ruling during the millennial reign (yet to start despite Jesus having taken up kingdom rule in 1914). They all got resurrected in 1919 but aren't ruling yet so they've got to do something in the meantime, apart from playing harps.

  History And The Search For True Christianity

  what happened to the original christian churches named in the bible - philadelphia, thessolonica, ephesus, smyrna, pergamum, thyatira, sardis, and laodicea to name a few?

  one would think that since these were the original churches, if we could trace the history of these churches down to our day, we could find who is preaching truth today.

  obviously this doesn't lie with jws because it is a new religion, although i do not doubt the sincerity of their belief.. there are two likely cases that i can see: 1) these became what is now known as the roman catholic church, 2) the roman catholic church was an apostate christianity that seperated from these true churches and used their power to snuff out the true churches from history.. which one do you think is correct?

  Scholars agree Jesus certainly wasn't illiterate, judging by the various references in the gospels to him reading from scrolls, quoting them extensively, etc.

  This night a dream made me cry

  this night was a painful one.

  i had a very emotional dream and woke up realise that i was crying emotional.. in my dream my past 43 years did go by with all my close family and ended abruptly after i had to tell my paralyzed brother that we were the only two left and that our parents died.. because he can't talk, he only could express himself with his facial expression in his small room of an institute.

  it seems something is going on with me, it feels painful and i think it has to do something with our believe background.. wish me luck to deal l with it.. gorby.

  Do you feel guilty?

  so while i was out hiking with the dogs today i got to thinking about this forum and was wondering how many of you still feel guilty from time to time for leaving?

  i do, i miss my family at times but then i think about the life that i have created and i have a good one, i have good friends and i am happy, happier then i ever was as a jw.

  i was just wondering if others feel the same way sometimes..

  Consequences of the cult? FEAR and PASSIVITY - anything else?

  depending how long you where a member or if you where a born in, the watchtower leaves certain marks or traces in your mind that you only notice after leaving them for good.. i think this is similar to a big river, with a high level of water that covers the hidden rocks and cliffs.

  once you start lowering the water level, all these rocks come to the surface and suddenly that river is difficult to navigate.. like that river, our minds are flooded with false hope for the future, a naive expectation to have jehovah sort things out for you and lots of fake, conditional love and warmth.

  all these things hide the fact that the same organization also put some heavy rocks into your mind called fear and passivity.

  Excellent thread.

  Definitely FEAR, that's the no.1.

  Not so sure about passivity though. JW's and their children are taught to get outta bed in the weekend and get out in all weather knocking cold turkey on strangers doors. That is not passive but requires quite a bit of proactivity and boldness. They are also trained to stand on stage at the congregation nd give bible talks from early childhood. And answer up in front of a big congregation. They are brainwashed as children to be brave about being different from all the other kids, to stand out from the crowd and make a defence when asked why. That is hardly passive conduct. Perhaps passive aggressive is more apt.

  I would replace passivity with distrust bordering on paranoia. I've noticed with myself since leaving the borg I have a deep-seated distrust of "worldlings" and struggle to form lasting friendships with those worldly people who I was brainwashed from infancy to believe were blinded by Satan and practitioners of all manner of dishonesty and sin.

  The real reason the WBATS don't want you in college!!!

  the wbats have ramped up no college for jws once again.

  the first time they backed off of it is because they noticed a person flipping hamburgers or cleaning toilets are not able to donate much money... so the wtbats says lets allow them to at least get a 2 year degree, then they can donate a little more... this goes on for awhile, but then the wbats notice that many who go to college are leaving...

  well because they gain knowledge and distance themselves from the cult and it's ignorance, have access to outside sources, and eventually learn ttatt!!!

  Nope, the real reason is because if all the youth went to college the Watchtower Society would be denied the unpaid 'fool-time' voluntary magazine salesmen called pioneers and all the free slave labour bethelites and construction workers.

  The whole organisation and it's global $billions property empire is built on voluntary young adult slave labour.
